Luxury German carmaker, Audi, is a brand on the move in Australia.
Audi is one of the fastestgrowing premium brands and has already started 2008 with alltime record sales. After the first quarter of 2008, the brand is already 35% up, following on from record upon record in Australia over the past 3 years (2007: +25%; 2006: +20%; 2005: +30%). Globally, Audi sold 965,000 vehicles in 2007 and will exceed 1 million sales this year.
Around the world, Audi continues to win awards for its innovative carlines and key new models to be added this year will see the brand maintain its leading role. The all new Audi A4 is one of the most significant new models to be introduced by the brand in 2008. The new sedan, in showrooms now, has been completely redesigned. It is now longer, wider, stronger and lighter, yet is also more dynamic and more fuel efficient than ever before. A versatile Avant version will follow later in the year.
Following on from the allimportant new A4, Audi will also launch the stunning new A3 Cabriolet in July, a new model which offers dynamic performance combined with the pleasure of convertibledriving. In the same month, the highperformance ‘sport version’ of the very popular new TT will arrive – called the TTS – both Coupe and Roadster models will be introduced. Last, but definitely not least is the superlative RS 6 Avant supercar which arrives Down Under in September.
