All those who have an interest in the challenges and opportunities emerging in Australia should ensure they are in Melbourne on May 14 and 15 for the Australian Davos Connection Future Summit 2007: New World Order 2.0.

With significant transitions appearing in economic, political and community dimensions internationally, within the region and within Australia it is important to ensure that leaders in Australia are able to understand and prepare for changes that may be required.

I encourage business, academic, community, and political leaders from Australia and the region to join us in Melbourne to consider the vital issues affecting Australia and the region's future.

I congratulate the Australian Davos Connection for its work in promoting leadership, seeking to improve our understanding of issues, involving established and emerging leaders in dialogue and, of course, for selecting Victoria as the venue for this important Summit.

I also invite you to extend your visit to Victoria to enjoy some of what Victoria has to offer including our hospitality, our wonderful culture and our diverse tourist attractions.
