The University of Sydney was the first university to be established in Australia. The University has attained an international reputation for outstanding teaching, as a centre of research excellence and as an active and engaged community leader.
Now ranking 31 in the world, according to the Times Higher Education Supplement, the University conducts cuttingedge research across the broadest range of disciplines of any Australian university and regularly wins more government funding for research than other Australian universities.
