It is my pleasure to invite Australia's leaders to contribute to our shared future by participating in Future Summit 2008.
The Summit focuses on shaping tomorrow today through the proposal and selection of big ideas and initiatives from participants and experts alike. This represents a profound shift in the way forums and summits and conducted. By applying an evolutionary model to the Future Summit, there will be a significant role for participants to really be involved, not only to have their voices heard but to have their visions for the future discussed and debated, and competitively endorsed.
The subject matter streams for this year's Summit contemplate the issues, ideas and challenges that leaders need to understand and consider to further develop their leadership skills and management responsibilities in their workplace and the wider community over the next 10 to 15 years.
The strength of the Summit lies within the open and frank exchange of views generated amongst participants over the two day program. It is through this sharing of ideas and the active participation in the development of defined outcomes that we are able to move towards the main objective of the Summit to create a better future.
I encourage you to have your voice heard by attending Future Summit 2008 and I look forward to greeting you in Sydney in May.
